Meritis stands out again and opens up new markets.
The technology consulting company with 800 employees announced today that its Sophia unit has won a tender from the world’s leading provider of solutions for the travel and tourism industry. The Group will thus benefit from greater references and increased visibility of major players in tourism and travel.
This success crowns not only Meriti’s technical and multisectoral expertise, but also the success of its establishment in Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur.
MERITIS SOPHIA ANTIPOLIS, OR THE STORY OF A SUCCESSFUL IMPLEMENTATION IN PACA
In 2016, Meritis settled in Sophia Antipolis. The company therefore intends to take advantage of the site’s ability to attract talent, but also close to diversified players and more broadly the PACA region’s great dynamics in terms of digital technology. Less than six years later, this choice is more than worth it: led by Sébastien Videment, co-founder of the group, the Sophia Antipolis unit saw its workforce grow by 11% in 2021 to reach 85 employees, and its turnover recorded an increase of 7 , 5%, which now brings it up to 7.1 million euros.
Meritis has in fact been able to take advantage of the strong acceleration of the digital transition in PACA and respond to one of its main challenges, namely to support companies, regardless of their size and specificity. Although 80% of its customers in the region are located in Sophia Antipolis itself, its area of activity thus extends from Cannes to Monaco. Its multi-sector know-how allows it to operate in aerospace, telecommunications or banking / insurance, while its adaptability allows it to work with all types of company profiles. Among Meritis’ customers in PACA: well-known large accounts, such as Schneider Electrics, Orange, Airbus Defense and Space, or Oticon Medical, but also small Tech lumps, such as Greencom (Smart Grid), Baylibre (embedded) and Symphony (encrypted messages to trading room).
A LIST OPENING MERITIS TO THE GLOBAL TRAVEL MARKET
Based on this success and groundbreaking expertise capable of adapting to different environments, Meritis Sophia Antipolis won a tender from one of the most important international suppliers of innovative IT solutions for travel and tourism, based in Sophia Antipolis for its R&D.
By winning this tender, Meritis will therefore be able to benefit from first-class references with the biggest names in industry, tourism and travel, opening the doors to a significant market.
Sébastien Videment, co-founder of Meritis, comments: ” Achieving this list is a further recognition of our level of expertise and demonstrates our ability to respond to multi-sector technological and industrial challenges. But even more, this success positions us in a significant new global market, namely travel, both fruitful for innovation and permanently exposed to digitalization needs. A great opportunity opens up for us and we are happy! »
