♦ Did you know that?

Fête de la Nature was established in 2007 on an idea from the French Committee of the International Union for Conservation of Nature and the magazine Terre Sauvage. The goal of this event was clear: to celebrate nature together every year. During the first edition of the Fête de la Nature, on 19 and 20 May 2007, 400 events were held.

There is even a Nature Festival Charter. This was signed by the Ministry of Ecology and Sustainable Development on 26 March 2007 in the presence of Minister Nelly Olin on that date. Composed of seven articles, it defines in particular the criteria for an event to receive the label “Nature Festival Event”.
