Street art or nature: the new guided tours of the tourist office

For its new spring / summer season, the Tourist and Convention Office (OTC) in Mulhouse and its region is offering several new guided tours in Mulhouse and the urban area, with a special focus on street art and nature. New exclusive products also enrich the offer in the OTC store.

The beautiful days are back and with them the visitors who come to discover the riches and curiosities of Mulhouse and its region. “The April holidays worked well in Mulhouse, with quite a few visitors, especially from the Paris region, Germany, Switzerland and the Netherlands,” emphasizes Nathalie Birling, director of the Mulhouse Tourism Office and Conferences (OTC). Visitors who can take advantage of Mulhouse City Pass or discover great gourmet addresses, with Wackes Gourmet Walk.

A new visit of street art

For both tourists and locals, the OTC also offers several guided tours on various themes, some of which have almost become “classics”, such as the “Urban poetry, street-art in Mulhouse” tour. Offered every month, from May 28, this visit in the footsteps of Mulhouse street art works always welcomes a large audience and regularly changes its route.

And while street art continues to win in Mulhouse, from this Saturday, May 14, OT is offering a new guided tour dedicated exclusively to the urban art project in the Kinepolis cinema parking lot. Carried by the Orlinda Lavergne Gallery, MUR Mulhouse and MUR Colmar, this project called Graffitipolis has made it possible for dozens of artists to take over the premises to produce frescoes and graffiti that can be discovered in all kinds of weather. Visits are arranged on Saturday morning when the car park is empty (Sat. 14 May, 11 June, 16 July, 13 August … 1.30 – 7 €, after reservation).

A traditional Japanese garden to discover

In Mulhouse, in addition to the guided tours offered by the tour guides of the Maison du patrimoine (the painted walls, the historic center, the German city, the Cité, Rebberg, in the footsteps of Alfred Dreyfus, etc.) (full program), the tourist office also invites visitors to discover a magnificent traditional Japanese garden located not far from the city center. The owner of the place, who has just installed a tea house there, will explain the rules of this traditional art to you in the heart of this quiet and relaxing space. (Sat. 11 and 25 June, 9 and 23 July, 13 and 27 August … 2 hours – 10 €, by reservation).

From the eco-village Ungersheim to the company Eurovia in Rixheim: visits to the urban area

Two new features have been added to the guided tour program offered in the Mulhouse urban area: the discovery of the carbon-free eco-village and the educational vegetable farm Ungersheim with a journey in a horse-drawn carriage and electric minibus (20. / 07, 08 / 19, 09/14); the visit of the Commandery of Rixheim (18/05, 8/06, 22/06, 6/07, 20/07) and its gardens. The Grand Canon Square in Zillisheim, the Domaine de Maurice in Galfingue and the Krust estate in Berrwiller are also among the places one can discover during the season.

With regard to company visits whose health limitations do not yet allow us to offer a comprehensive program, the Eurovia company opens its doors to visitors to its Rixheim website. Please note that all guided tours require a reservation.
