“It’s for everyone’s well-being”, they take their dog to work!

No two days are alike. Their only routine? Bring their life partner to their workplace.

French law does not prohibit their presence, except in certain health care establishments, food business establishments, public administrations or if the dog falls into the first and second category, known as “dangerous”. By the way, why deprive yourself of it?

In the municipalities of walking sticks, Grasse, Antibes and their surroundings, more and more of them can not do without their company. Some said yes to telling us about their daily lives and explaining to us why it was important to always have them by their side. Comfort, safety, sociability …

Arguments that have dog!

“The contact with the patients immediately becomes different.” From the moment they are welcomed by Picso, a Breton spaniel crossed with a 2-year-old English setter, at Anne-Charlotte Massoni’s physiotherapist’s office in Cannes, everyone knows the session is only getting better. “I did not think that a dog could bring a medical aspect. However, I was told that his presence could be therapeutic. I have begun to notice it …”

Since September last year, Anne-Charlotte Massoni has been taking Picso with her daily. “He got into the habit of greeting patients, guiding them to the waiting room and then laying down at their feet.”

When his dog does not take on his role of host, he takes care of it. “He walks around the closet and looks into every room.” The rest of the time, Picso lives his life as a dog. Cute! “He’s lying in his basket in the gym” Where “Take a walk in the garden.”

Although Picso sometimes feels invested in a mission. Especially with young patients. “When I receive a crying child, I ask Picso to lie down next to him. And it calms him down!”

Also with the elderly. “Picso reminds some of them of the memories they had with a dog they lost. It makes them happy! Some even offer me to take it for a walk in the afternoon. I have complete confidence in them.”

“Our customers greet Jogger more often than we do. Sometimes we are not even entitled to a quick hello!”

At the Juan Médical Santé Medical Equipment Store in Juan-les-Pins, the Jogger is the star! Jean-Pierre Dubois and his wife could no longer imagine their everyday life without their 8-year-old golden retriever. “In the morning, we never wonder if we should leave it at home or take it with us!” As obvious.

In the store comes and goes Jogger. According to his wishes. “He walks around from time to time, but never walks away!”

And for the hygiene, then? “We vacuum, we wash. Then the material we have in the shop is dedicated to the exhibition. Our warehouse is upstairs.”

So no fear.

And a lot of comfort. “He does not have the slightest aggression in him. But his presence helps keep people with disabilities away. Three years ago, he was not in the store and we had a bad experience.”

When customers pass through the Azur Copie printing house to get plans and photocopies in Mouans-Sartoux, Isabelle Weisser never welcomes them alone. Sonny, a 15-month-old English setter, and Alaska, a 5-year-old border collie, are still waiting for them with their ball. Ready to play with them.

“It creates conversations with people that we would never have had if my dogs were not nearby.”

Isabelle Weisser assures us: “Taking them to work is for everyone’s well-being. They do not stay home and that brings me a lot.”

So much so that customers are now invited to come with their hairballs. “At least they get visits too. Have made them friends!”

This makes them very happy and avoids tension. “When there are animals, it immediately relaxes on the atmosphere!”

For Isabelle Weisser, there is no reason to think: “I advise all dog owners to take them with them if possible. It is to everyone’s benefit.”
