Verdun-en-Lauragais. Seniors Club: a beautiful trip to Aveyron

the essential
The elders of Verdun taste with pleasure the joy of reunion and travel.

For the past two years, although the Club des Aînés Verdunois has maintained some activities depending on the possibilities associated with covid, travel excursions had remained dormant. This year the program is almost normal again, and that was how our elders had the opportunity to choose over a period of three days in Rosas, and or a walk in Aveyron. For Rosas, nine people participated and took advantage of a fantastic program put together by the VIDAL coaches. It was not very hot yet, but our Verdunois had a very pleasant stay in Spain. The trip to Rosas by small train, the flower festival in Girona and the cruise in the Marina in Empuriabrava delighted our travelers. But the visits make you hungry, and the quality and quantity of the frequented buffets have quickly satiated the appetite. The diet was forgotten for three days and we were delighted with this stay that our nine tourists returned to their origins. The second outing on Wednesday, May 18, still with the Vidal coaches, was for a day in Aveyron, to which 34 members were invited. The temple town of La Couvertoirade agreed: What a beautiful village, but above all a story behind the stone walls and under the slate roofs of Aveyron. Our visitors were very attentive to the excellent guide who accompanied them, with even many questions about the history of this beautiful region. Before the visit to the Roquefort cellars, much less interesting as it has been impossible to visit the functional cheese cellars since 2015, lunch at the Gaillac property was perfect, with an ample and varied menu, in a room very decorated with old objects and tools. A nice recovery excursion before the June holiday meal and more precisely Thursday at 16-12. The registrations are going well and it is probably a good moment of jubilation, the guests will experience after 2 years of restrictions.

Breakfast on June 16

The second outing, Wednesday, May 18, again with the Vidal coaches, consisted of a day in Aveyron where 34 members were invited. The temple lord La Couvertoirade agreed: what a beautiful village, but above all what a story behind the stone walls and under the slate roofs of Aveyron. Our visitors were very attentive to the excellent guide who accompanied them, with even many questions about the history of this beautiful region. A nice recovery excursion before the holiday meal in June, which takes place just d Thursday, June 16 at 12. The registrations are going well, and it is probably a good moment of joy that the guests will experience after two years of restrictions.
