Midi Libre offers a selection of cultural events from Tuesday the 7th to Sunday the 12th of June.
1. Gospel Choir at Fouzilhon
Tuesday, June 7th20.30 Rachel Ratsizafy returns to the stage at the Théâtre de Pierres with a new choir consisting of thirty singers in a project focusing on contemporary Gospel and the improvement of harmonic and polyphonic singing. Accompanied by Rémi Ploton (pianist and co-artistic director), the singer offers a resolutely modern repertoire, where original compositions and covers by contemporary songwriters mix.
2. Total Festum in Castelnau-de-Guers
Friday 10. and Saturday, June 11th, the Occitan culture will be celebrated with great pomp in Castelnau-de-Guers. Concerts, events, shows, exhibitions and surprises will be on the agenda.
Friday, June 10th19.00 on Place de la Mairie, the evening will be arranged by a DJ. At 10pm it continues with a Goulamas’K concert.
Saturday, June 11thAt 3pm, twelve totemic animals will stroll through the village to the lively rhythm of their musicians. The departure of the procession will be in the parking lot of the multi-room. Arrival is scheduled at City Hall Square. The party continues all evening, still on the Place de la Mairie, with a large orchestra. Throughout the weekend, an exhibition on totemic animals will be installed in the castle courtyard.
Festive concerts in Cazedarnes
Saturday, June 11th20.30 Zingueurs Sauvages and Goulamas’K meet again this time on the Fastu’Caz stage in Cazedarnes. Carried by electrified musicians, Les Zingueurs sauvage is a French rock group born from the meeting between the singer from the group Les Fussoirs and members of La Caboche.
For more than twenty years, Goulamas’K has united music with a festive struggle, in rage and poetry. Originally from Puisserguier, the group presents on stage Luna Roja, its new opus. In a ska punk with metal flights and unifying choruses, the multi-instrumentalist musicians go from saxophone to gralla, from trumpet to bag gemecs, from keyboard to bouzouki, from bass to guitar.
4. Molière Festival in Pézenas
Until June 12, Pézenas presents its thirteenth edition of the Molière Festival. On the program, theater, reading, gastronomy, cinema, conference, exhibition, cultural heritage … This year, the audience will once again be able to enjoy creations, including Illustre Théâtre, performed in the Grange des Prés.
