Royal Air Maroc (RAM) has strengthened its flight plan for the 2022 summer season, offering 6 million seats on 80 routes across four continents.
The general manager of the national company, Hamid Addou, emphasized that RAM has restored air routes that were closed during the health crisis and opened new routes, noting that this program will make it possible to cover almost 90% of the network covered by RAM. in 2019.
On this occasion, Mr. Addou the measures that RAM has planned to successfully move Moroccans around the world over the summer, specifying that the company will offer more than 2.2 million seats on the European continent, which is home to several major Moroccans.
“About 437 frequencies a week will connect 9 Moroccan airports with 32 airports on the European continent,” he said.
In France, 890,000 seats will be offered and 400 flights will be operated per week on 28 flights connecting 9 airports in France with 8 cities in the Kingdom, said DG RAM, adding that the routes connecting 8 Moroccan airports to Paris (CDG) and Orly) alone will offer 121 frequencies per week.
In the rest of Europe, 43 routes will connect 22 European airports with 8 Moroccan cities with a capacity of more than 1.3 million seats, he stressed, noting that the company will thus offer 237 frequencies per week.
The air routes, where large communities of Moroccans around the world live and which experience high demand in the summer, will be strengthened, while the lines connecting Casablanca to Barcelona, Bologna, Malaga, Madrid, Brussels and Milan will be increased. for a double daily flight, he remarked.
And to note that in North America, the national company will mobilize nearly 500,000 seats, or 6% more than the offer proposed in the summer of 2019, adding that around 35 weekly frequencies will be set up on the four routes connecting Casablanca in New York, Washington, Montreal and Miami.
In Africa, RAM has strengthened its network, which will be expanded to 25 airlines and an offer of 900,000 seats, Mr. Addou and noted that around 110 frequencies will be offered per week.
Thus, the company will gradually restore the network it had on the continent before the Covid-19 crisis, he continued.
In the Middle East, RAM will offer 200,000 seats, an increase of 25% compared to the offer from the summer of 2019, Mr. added. Addou and specified that 17 frequencies will be planned on the six routes operated by the company connecting Casablanca with Jeddah, Riyadh. , Medina, Cairo, Tel Aviv and Dubai.

In this regard, RAM has chartered aircraft from internationally recognized companies, he said, emphasizing that the use of these aircraft is carried out in accordance with the criteria and safety standards imposed by the authorities, the authorities and Royal Air Morocco.
